I can't believe I'm only just blogging about the Erin Condren stuff I got during their Launch Day! Well, I received all my new planners and accessories less than 10 days after I ordered and everything was in good order. Talk about speedy delivery! Couldn't have been happier about it, because everything look so awesome!!
Vertical Planner and Accessories
I purchased the vertical in colour, as usual... with gold coil! :) One of the things that attracted me about the Erin Condren planner is the bright, cheerful colours throughout the planner, so of course, this is what I'll be using for my everyday planner! ... BUT, having said that, I also bought a neutral - in horizontal! (whaaa...?) My plan for this particular planner is to use it as record keeper for my Etsy Business. Private info stuff like sales, customer requests, suppliers, purchases, etc. So, I won't be showing off the pages like I do with my vertical planner.
Neutral Horizontal Planner
I decided to go completely black and white with the neutral horizontal, so I got the wild cover in black and white and tried the black coil, which is one of their new things this year. The coil is coated with black, similar to how they do the gold coils.
Inside the Planner
This is what the front page of the colourful vertical planner looks like. And their new sticker books and sticky notes are simply gorgeous! And how about their new pocket design at the back?! Just beautiful!
I'll be showing the inside pages later on as I use them. Meantime, I'm madly designing some new stickers to go with all my new planners. Because planning these days = stickers. Ha! :p
So it seems that I buy a lot of stationery and planner supplies every month! There was a time when most of my spending money went on clothes, shoes and makeup... but these days, it's all about my crafty planner things! Stickers, washi tapes, pens and pretty accessories! #stationeryaddict! :D
First up... these adorable Lemon Paper Co. stickers! The owner, Jessica, was so generous and kind sending me these kawaii planner stickers (which I now use all the time)!! I would have to say they are now some of my favourite, must have stickers and they've become part of my "staple" stickers to use on my planners. Shop at lemonpaperco.etsy.com and get some of these super cute stickers!!
It took awhile to get to me, but this Valentine's Day Planner Kit from The Planner Society is so worth it! Love the papers, pretty sticky notes and washi and of course, the stickers!! Their monthly planner kit is the only one I'm subscribed to at the moment and it never disappoints. This particular kit is a holiday special and it's too awesome for words! :D
One of the shops I regularly go to is Kikki K - there's a couple in the main CBD of Brisbane and it's just walking distance from where I live! How can I not go there a lot, right?
I finally got their cute watermelon planner in medium - small enough to fit in my hand bag, which I carry with me everywhere. The pens on the photo are from Kmart - $3 for a pack of 6... bargain! So many lovely stationery these days that my spare change usually get spent on these. What can I say? It's my weakness!!
It's the beginning of February and I thought I'd join the Happy Planner Instagram Challenge - first on the list is a planner selfie. Since this month is all about hearts and flowers and love, what better way than to give a bit of self love and take a photo of myself, with one of my fav planners!
I'm in my early 40's now and taking selfies isn't really something I do these days. So this is a rare occasion. I wanted this pic to look like I'm an 80's chick - I should've matched the heart and wore hot pink lipstick. But anyway, thank goodness for airbrush because I didn't want to cover my face with foundation just for a selfie. Haha. These days, I really only wear lipstick and maybe a bit of eye makeup every now and then. At least I've now got a photo of what I look like at the start of 2016!
Planner Society Girl
Yesterday, I finally got the January Planner Society kit. And it's as awesome as the rest of the ones I've received so far! My subscription for this kit started on October 2015. I feel like I'm officially a Planner Society girl having received this gorgeous crystal pen that came with the kit! How beautiful everything is that's included in this planner kit! So happy that I took the plunge and subscribed, even though it cost an arm and a leg... well, okay, not that much! But it's still a bit expenso due to the Aussie dollar value being a bit low compared to the US dollar.
I am also expecting the Valentine's Planner Kit & Sticker pack I purchased, which was a one off thing. Soon, I hope!!
You know that time when you're supposed to be buying gifts for other people, except you end up buying stuff for yourself instead? Hehe. Well, true story! I did end up buying the usual peeps their Christmas presents, but after I've bought myself a whole lotta stationery! :p
Oh, this one is from an Erin Condren #ECFanFriday win on Instagram - I got a voucher for $50!! Got one of their notebooks, planner pockets, washi tape and another of their original sticker book! Woohoo!
I felt like adding a bit of geekiness to my planners with these planner bands - Super Heroes & Pacman from Lokimadeit Etsy. Couldn't resist! :D
Love the designs of Planner Studio stickers from Etsy! The photos don't do them justice - in person, they are top notch quality stickers, which looked like they were laser printed. Makes me want to ditch my inkjet and get laser printer for my sticker business. Which I will! And of course, some washi tapes from Chiyogami Designs! So I guess, next big spending will be a laser printer. Haha! #shopaholic
So this is my whole Kikki K pen collection (for now). I am missing a couple of pens, which I probably gave away or sold by accident! Those pens will be missed... :(
But there's really no reason to cry about it, because look! How pen obsessed am I to have accumulated so many of these Kikki K pens?! There's no doubt there are others with a whole lot more - especially Kristina, the owner of Kikki K! I'm sure she's got the whole pen collection since they opened in 2001!
I'm still searching for older designs from 2012! Particularly the Hello Sunshine range. I already contacted Kikki K if they could help me out but they just don't keep their old stock. And I don't think they have any plans on bringing back any old collection to resell today.
I was recently given some Kikki K pens by a couple of my fellow planner girls from the Planner Addicts Australia facebook group! How kind are these gals to help me with my collection!? If you have any Kikki K pens you don't see here that you would like to sell or swap or give, please contact me and let me know! I regularly check in Instagram and Facebook, so send me a message there if you're there, too.
When it comes to my creative space, as much as possible, I like to have everything on sight, on my desk! This includes my washi tapes, sticky notes, pens, stickers and other little tidbits that get regularly use when I "plan", craft or brain storm. The stacks and piles of these things make for good decorative pieces.
Containers I store my supplies in are usually from cheapie bargain stores like the Reject Shop or Daiso. I also love using jam jars to hold my pens, biscuit tins with nice prints for bits and pieces, and patterned gift boxes for sticky notes and memo pads. They're all great to look at while being functional at the same time!
Below is the container I buy for $2 at the Reject Shop to hold my washi collection. I buy them as my collection grows. Usually, every couple of months I pick a couple at a time to use. I like how they're just flat on all sides. They stack well and surprisingly, they don't show signs of collapsing!
I've been an avid stationery collector of Kikki K and Typo products for quite some time now and some of their latest collection to date have been the cutest and best I've seen yet! I'm talking about their adorable fruit and sweets collection!
The watermelon & pineapple chunky pens were purchased from Typo Shop a few months ago - some stores may still have them but generally, they come up with new designs every few months. That's the same for Kikki K - their latest range are their fruit and ice cream designs, which are still available in their Kikki K store.
Highly recommended are the current Kikki K "vision board" kit, which comes with these inspiring quotes and their very cute four pack washi tapes. Their pen selection right now is also a must have, especially for pen addicts (like me)!
They will most likely have their fruity range until the end of 2015, but once they move on to other designs, this collection will only be available until sold out!
Went to another Planner Addicts Australia meet up in Brisbane City last night - Friday night. It was another success! Did the usual thing of shopping for stationery first, then dinner at Jo-Jo's. It was great to meet up with the other planner addicts - always good to see the faces behind the names I see in the Facebook Group we all hang out at, which is Planner Addicts Australia!
This is a shot of our planner stack for the night - a couple of ladies brought their horizontal Erin Condren planners with them, so I got to check it out. Very nice! Better than what I expected. So many other planners here that were just gorgeous! Like the Kikki K fuschia and the flouro pink Filofax. Love!!
It felt like it was everyone's birthday because the bag of goodies we all got were bursting with stuff! The Raffle Prizes were awesome, too - I didn't win anything, but felt like I did anyway, because of the amount of things I got!
So many cute things, including some items from My Paper Shoppe - the owner was there last night and it was good to finally meet her! Donations of stickers from Sweetique Stickers, Lime and Mortar and Girl with Curls Designs (shop may be coming soon). Also got a pen from Pen Gems! Some Kikki K pens to add to my collection and my donation to the gift bag was the tassel paper clip and some stickers. Overall, great night out! Good company, food was fine and lots of new lovely things!
I'm a sucker for pretty pens and have become a bit of a "pen addict" during the past year. I've been collecting pens from Kikki K, Target USA and Typo shop.
My main pen collection consists of Kikki K pens - my collecting began towards the end of last year when I started visiting their stores again quite regularly. Like most designs, the Kikki K range changes from season to season, so only the latest ones are available to purchase in their store. To buy the previous designs, you'll have to try and find it from other sources like Ebay. I managed to find rare pens from years ago, which included their Under the Sea mermaid pen - gold!!
Other pens I've been collecting are the Target USA dollarspot pens, as well as the mechanical pencils. I've bought a few from Etsy and some were given to me by my cousin in the states, but most have been through stationery swaps.
So far, here are my pen collections in various photos.
Update October 2015: I have received more Target USA pens and pencils from a recent swap and have also purchased more pens from Kikki K and other stores. More photos added! :)
July 2015 was a bit crazy regarding stationery swapping - I had several people requesting to swap with me via Instagram and Facebook. I couldn't help myself and agreed, of course! I went on a mad shopping spree every week, last month (omg I'm broke) and spent heaps on postage! I will need a bit of a break after these mad swaps, especially since I've also got packages to send to a couple of my regular swap buddies - from the Erin Condren Planner Buddies group in Facebook.
Here are the things I've received so far - yes, it includes that awesome pink & gold stripes jewelry bag from Joann's Fabrics in the USA!! Omg awesome. Also, those super cute donuts stickers which I wanted to have ages ago after I spotted it on an Instagram post. Drool.
Here are some of the things I've given out to those who have swapped with me recently. I'm fortunate enough to live close to several Kikki K stores, Typo, Smiggle, Daiso, Danda and other bargain shops like Bargain City and Reject Shop, so most of what I've bought for my stationery swap partners have been items from these places.
There are some items here which I've collected over the past few months. Otherwise, one hit of shopping for these items would be a real blow to the wallet! I try to buy these things when they're on sale, especially the Kikki K stuff! But still, they all add up! I have to wait another few months before going on a swapping spree!
