It's Mother's Day on Sunday the 9th of May and it's that time again where I know I'd want to splurge and buy lots of stuff! Mac make up, new handbag and shoes and lots of stationery! It's all about pampering and spoiling myself this weekend, just like what I did last year. I'm sure there are others who want to do the same... therefore, a sale is a must!
My new release stickers in the shop just came in time for this sale. I love my Quotes, so there's a few there, plus my recent release of pen addict and washi addict sticker sheets!
It's 15% off everything in the shop for $5 minimum purchase. Ends after this Mother's Day weekend. Shop at popmixdesigns.etsy.com.
March Madness sale happening at Popmix Designs. 15% discount for purchases of $10 or more. Valid until end of March, 2016!
The shop has some new stickers, including cute doodle meal planner stickers, pick ups, more novelty numbers and heaps more to come!!
I'm not one to toot my own horn, but... I'm loving the stickers I've been coming up with for my shop, popmixdesigns.etsy.com! I think the arrangement on the actual sticker sheets look pretty good - I wanted each sheet to look great as a whole and not just have bits of blobs on paper.
I use these word stickers a lot and so far, they are the most popular in the shop!
I now have mini stickers, too. All these things have been thought of awhile ago, but I'm a bit slow in the execution of things. There are still a lot of designs on the works and I suppose, it may be a never ending process!! I seem to have ideas popping up in my head all the time!
Very happy with how my planner icon stickers turned out! They are quite cute and definitely something I'm excited to use on my planners! :)
So it seems that I buy a lot of stationery and planner supplies every month! There was a time when most of my spending money went on clothes, shoes and makeup... but these days, it's all about my crafty planner things! Stickers, washi tapes, pens and pretty accessories! #stationeryaddict! :D
First up... these adorable Lemon Paper Co. stickers! The owner, Jessica, was so generous and kind sending me these kawaii planner stickers (which I now use all the time)!! I would have to say they are now some of my favourite, must have stickers and they've become part of my "staple" stickers to use on my planners. Shop at lemonpaperco.etsy.com and get some of these super cute stickers!!
It took awhile to get to me, but this Valentine's Day Planner Kit from The Planner Society is so worth it! Love the papers, pretty sticky notes and washi and of course, the stickers!! Their monthly planner kit is the only one I'm subscribed to at the moment and it never disappoints. This particular kit is a holiday special and it's too awesome for words! :D
One of the shops I regularly go to is Kikki K - there's a couple in the main CBD of Brisbane and it's just walking distance from where I live! How can I not go there a lot, right?
I finally got their cute watermelon planner in medium - small enough to fit in my hand bag, which I carry with me everywhere. The pens on the photo are from Kmart - $3 for a pack of 6... bargain! So many lovely stationery these days that my spare change usually get spent on these. What can I say? It's my weakness!!
Australia Day yesterday, and I thought I'd start a 15% off sale, ending this Thursday 28th January. Very happy with the result, so far! My shop is still infant, but so far, so good.
This is my little promo ad for it, anyway. Posted in several Planner Facebook groups and also, in my Etsy Shop Instagram account - instagram.com/popmixdesigns!
My must have planner supplies and accessories for 2016 are:
1. Stickers (of course)
2. Washi Tapes (always)
3. Tassels (ooh that's new)
A year ago, I wasn't a fan of these "planner tassels" - to me, they looked like they should be hanging on curtains! But I received one from the Planner Society Kit a few months back, and I grew to like it dangling from one of my planners. So, I decided to try out a couple more from someone who I've followed on Instagram since I joined - Hautepinkfluff on Etsy. I received them a couple of weeks ago and they are simply gorgeous! Especially with the little charms that came with it. I like how these tassels just fall nicely. They're not so fluffy that it looks puffed up and that it could fray on the edges any moment. They're well made and looks like they will last a long time.
A few months ago, I decided to start using word stickers on my vertical planner, just to make it look neat and uncluttered. Since I tend to do similar things each week, it was easy enough to produce! My weekly personal planner is pretty much just an overview of the week - I don't put as much details on it these days, since I now use a daily planner to schedule my time during the day.
Besides my word stickers (which are available in my Popmix Designs Etsy Shop, I also love quotes, the Reset Girl stickers, Planner Society stickers and other cute decorative ones from various Etsy Sticker Shops (yes, including my own designs).
To start the year off, I ended up ordering more sticker packs from Me & My Big Ideas. They have a wide range of bright and colourful quote stickers, which fits nicely in any planner.
Nothing beats decorative borders using washi tapes! They come in hundreds and thousands of assorted designs and patterns, they're light weight and re-positional. And most of all, they are quite affordable!
I joined Washi Lane's Washi Club Kit a month or so ago and my subscription started this month of January, 2016! I received the cute package a couple of weeks ago and I'm quite happy with the kit! It included a few washi tapes, some stickers and paperclips. It's nice to receive a surprise kit every month that's under $15 (AUD).
There's a few more planner accessories that I use to pretty up my planners - page markers, paperclips, dashboards and other cute planner charms I got given, like this cute cake and mint planner poly clay charms from Bits to Pieces at Etsy. The lady who makes these was so nice and kind to give me samples of her work! ... and I love them! They are so well made and make the perfect planner charms.
So far, these are my fav planner stuff which I'll be using more this year! Make sure to follow me on Instagram if you want to see more planner goodies and planner inspiration! Instagram.com/catherina.amor.
You know that time when you're supposed to be buying gifts for other people, except you end up buying stuff for yourself instead? Hehe. Well, true story! I did end up buying the usual peeps their Christmas presents, but after I've bought myself a whole lotta stationery! :p
Oh, this one is from an Erin Condren #ECFanFriday win on Instagram - I got a voucher for $50!! Got one of their notebooks, planner pockets, washi tape and another of their original sticker book! Woohoo!
I felt like adding a bit of geekiness to my planners with these planner bands - Super Heroes & Pacman from Lokimadeit Etsy. Couldn't resist! :D
Love the designs of Planner Studio stickers from Etsy! The photos don't do them justice - in person, they are top notch quality stickers, which looked like they were laser printed. Makes me want to ditch my inkjet and get laser printer for my sticker business. Which I will! And of course, some washi tapes from Chiyogami Designs! So I guess, next big spending will be a laser printer. Haha! #shopaholic
I would've loved to have re-opened my Etsy Shop with a big bang, but instead, it's more like a trickle of product listings here and there. In any case, it's now open and I have some pretty and cute stickers available to buy! I've also listed the Weekly Undated Planner inserts I've been using in my Carpe Diem planners.
So that's the latest news here... You can now buy stuff at popmixdesigns.etsy.com! :D
The problem with being able to do a lot of creative things and wanting to do them all - graphic design, painting, drawing, etc., is that I end up not completing anything! I start on this project and it's great but then another idea comes up using a different medium and I start working on that... and so on and so forth! It's like that saying "jack of all trades, master of none"... :\ This has been a major issue for me this year. Not being able to focus on one project. One of my sisters think I need a manager, but I'm just on my own right now! I have to do everything, including reminding myself to stay focused and stay on one path. It's not so easy when my head is bursting with creative ideas and I want them all to happen!
So, after messing around with different things for most of 2015, like making and selling some planner inserts and selling bits of stationery here and there, I've decided to focus on one thing - and that's turning my art & illustrations into stickers! Everything else will be on hold until I've got a good system happening with my sticker production - this includes my Planner Things shop. I have plans for this but right now, I've got to stick to just one thing. Because I'm really not good with managing everything at once! Best to keep it simple as possible.
I'm currently in the process of turning some of my existing art into stickers and designing new ones - I wanted to re-open my Etsy store on the 1st of this month of December, but I need more time to polish them all up. So the 12th of December is when I'll re-open!
I love stickers and although there are now gazillions of people producing planner stickers on Etsy, I'm sure there's room for another! Especially, since the planner community appears to be growing at a rapid rate! I've come up with something that will make my sticker sheets a bit different from most and hopefully, become my signature where people will recognise that it came from my shop. So far, I haven't seen anyone else with what I'm talking about. Maybe it's already out there but I just haven't come across it.
Anyway, for the first week or so of the shop opening, I will include a free sticker sheet for each person who orders. It's a compilation of some of my cute and pretty watercolour paintings (the one you see on the picture above). This is a regular sheet, not a sampler. The standard for my sticker sheets will be 17cm x 12.5cm. Also, FREE SHIPPING for orders $25 or above! I'm hoping to get at least 20 new designs completed when the shop re-opens!
I'm very excited about this because some of my sticker ideas made me laugh! It's mostly fun and stuff that I would use on my planners and things. So here's to a great end of 2015 and a fruitful start to my 2016!!
